Today after posting about Lauren (who lives in Orlando) I found out that she’s been in the hospital since Saturday with pneumonia and a serious blood infection. I had no idea until this afternoon. So our prayers and thoughts are with her and her sweet fam. Get better SOON Lauren! We love you!

As promised, the reception pics for Shalisa and Mike. It was such a fun night, not only because they are family, but just because everything was beautiful. And the scene was just amazing. A true garden party.
During the speeches the cake gave out. No worries…
it was just going into the face.
The lucky young lady…or I mean lucky young man of the night was a surprise. 
And then there was another lucky young man.
Everyone danced all night.
The thing I love most about weddings are the sweet moments, especially with the fam.
And they were off. Congrats you two! We love you.
So here’s a story. My sweet sister in law (Shalisa) was engaged a couple years ago and asked me to take pictures at her wedding. At that time I just had a point and shoot camera, nothing fancy. Being so flattered though, I decided to take photography a little more seriously…bought a nice camera, took classes, practiced, practiced, practiced….
Long story short, things didn’t work out with the mister and she ended up not getting married at that time, but a year and so later she met… “Mike”. We love Mike. Mike and Shalisa just got married in the LDS Salt Lake Temple a couple weeks ago and I was fortunate to be their photographer. (So I really feel like Shalisa in all her sweetness to me gave me the courage to go for it and do photography.) Thanks Shalisa! Love you guys! Here are some pics.

About 7 years ago I was living in Uganda, Africa with Marci. Recently we were able to reconnect in Texas for her sister’s wedding. I couldn’t have been more excited. Kayley and Scott are incredible. Their wedding was incredible. All the details came together to make one of the most beautiful weddings I’ve been to. A lot of their ideas and decor came from the wonderful Pineapple Hill Designs . Here’s a sneak peak at their day.
